Privacy and saved preferences

Monologue Daily does not require an account. Your selected shows, watched video IDs and hide-watched setting are stored locally in this browser using localStorage. The app does not send those preferences to our feed database.

Clearing your preferences

Clear this site’s data in your browser settings to remove saved preferences and watched history. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent saving. Preferences do not sync across devices or between different domains.

YouTube and external resources

Show avatars and video thumbnails load from Google and YouTube services. When you open a video in the site, the YouTube player loads using the youtube-nocookie.com embed host and YouTube’s player API. These requests expose ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, to those providers. The privacy-enhanced embed does not mean no data is exchanged.

Playback, ads and viewing restrictions are controlled by YouTube. See Google’s privacy policy. Following a link to YouTube or GitHub takes you to a separate service.

Hosting and operational data

Vercel hosts this site and processes requests and operational logs. Neon stores public video metadata and feed-refresh state. Cloudflare provides the domain’s DNS.

Website analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, including page views, referral sources, browser and device types, and approximate locations. Plausible does not use analytics cookies or persistent identifiers, and states that it does not store raw IP addresses. We do not send your saved show selections or watched history to Plausible.
